We're all doing it.

Believe it or not, we’re all doing it – growing older, unless of course, you’re Jack Benny. Oh wait. He’s dead. So I guess he’s not. But if you’re breathing, then you are.

When I was pre-teen, I thought 40 sounded ‘old’. Then at 40, I thought 60 was ‘old’. Now at 64, I realize … it’s just a number.

I’ve been around for 64 years. Learned some things; forgot more. One of the reasons I started Pleasures For Evermore was to present reminiscences from this Christian’s views. When I consider my life as a Christian, I have to admit, I’ve really wasted some time. God has given each of us a path in life. I haven’t always gone on the path He has planned. Anything we do for ’self’ is just time spent from His purposes for us. I constantly ask, “God, what is it You want me to do? Teach? Preach? Please God, what?” Here’s the ‘what’ I feel He has shared: Be My friend. Fellowship with Me. Study My Word. Let the future up to Me.

OK, God. I’ll walk hand in hand with You. I’ll continue growing older, by Your mercy and grace. Like the Apostle Paul, I say, “Your grace is sufficient for me.”
